Lilach

Hi! My name is Lilach, but my younger sister likes to call me stupid. I am 16, and as you know I learn in Neve Channah high school for religious girls. Both my parents are Americans (from Long Island and New York), but even though half of my family is living abroad, I've never been out of Israel, and unfortunately I've never even met most of my relatives. I guess a trip to the states would be a good idea, if the opportunity shows itself, However I would probably rather see Scotland first- for the magical beauty the land holds, and then Poland for the vital historical importance the place offers the Jewish people. So I guess America is only third place….
Even though my Hebrew is probably a lot better than my English, I love reading in English and I hate Hebrew novels- but the thing I can honestly shoot someone for would be translations, and dubbing movies! Pathetic! Of course one can use it as a last resort, but the entire concept utterly destroys beautiful movies and literature. In the wise words of Calvin: "I wonder why Japanese people keep on moving their mouths after they are done talking?", and if I am an Israeli who knows about Calvin and Hobbes, and you are an American who doesn't….. Shame on you! You missed out one hell of an experience! The part that does make me a little anxious though, is the fact that there actually were two Philosophers named Calvin and Hobbes….. I wonder who Susie Derkins was…
If anyone asks, G-d exists and he is so merciful it is hard to say he is just at all. I can't speak for anybody but myself, but I think that if G-d was as just as we think he is, a lot of good people I know wouldn’t be around anymore. I believe that nothing happens without a reason, for if it didn’t have one, it wouldn’t have existed. Every little thing we do creates a new reality, so even the worst things that ever happened, were meant to. If they wouldn't happen, something that should have existed wouldn't, even if we'll never be wise enough to notice it. I believe that a person's destiny is known to G-d, but man is the one who chooses it, so it makes humans little creators themselves, doesn't it?
All in all I don't have much spare time, but other than study, my life pretty much consists of reading, watching movies (horror and comedy is good), playing my guitar and listening to a bit of any kind of music that ever existed (so what if Hinder is high?). I like acting and I hope to start a course in German after Chanukah (which is the second runner up when it comes to favorite holidays… Pessach is the first). Some of my friends are edging me on to develop my apparent Xbox potential, but in truth, I don’t find it that great. I'd much rather find myself thrown into seventeenth century England: Riding horses (which I love), reading books, and walking around in Elizabeth Swan dresses. That would have been a nice reality, back before nature was contaminated.
Oh well, Right now I'm right here… and I'm pretty happy with that.
